Terms & Conditions

At Ceramica we always do everything we can to ensure that you are delighted with your pottery painting party or signed plate. We go to enormous effort to make sure that you are completely satisfied in all respects with the service you receive from us and our terms and conditions are designed to ensure your expectations are met in every way. We always welcome your feedback and if you are not completely satisfied, please do let us know and we will try to put it right if we can.

  • All pottery painting parties / events or signed plates are booked and sold subject to these terms and conditions. Your order, whether received in writing or via email, confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • Your written or emailed order confirms the exact details of your requirements and we are unable to accept further changes.

  • Travel costs for our staff to come to your party / event are included for any destination within 25 miles of Chichester, West Sussex. We are quite happy to travel further to you, but reserve the right to charge for additional travel / petrol costs.

  • Bookings for parties are accepted on the basis of a minimum of ten people and a 50% deposit is required at the time of placing the order. The balance is due on or before the date of the party.

  • If the number of people at the party changes, please give us at least three days' notice. Changes after this notice period will still have to be charged for at the original rate. If the number of guests becomes lower than ten, the full amount is still due, as we still have to cover our travel and administrative costs.

  • The minimum number of children for a Pottery To Go party booking is six; if the numbers of children attending drops below this number, the full fee will still have to be charged. An additional refundable deposit of £50 will be required at the time of booking to cover any damage or loss of brushes, sponges, stamps or other items supplied / excessive use of paint.

  • We ask that you specify your party package / pottery shapes at least two weeks before your event, so we can be sure of having sufficient stock of your chosen item(s.) If we do not have the item(s) you have chosen in stock or if our suppliers are unable to supply them in time, we will substitute (in agreement with you) an alternative item of equal or greater value.

  • Every signed plate we produce is hand-painted and may therefore vary both in exact design and colours from the images on the website. If you require a specific colour(s), please ensure these details are contained in your order.

  • We will despatch your order for a signed plate within four weeks of the order date.

  • We take great care to ensure your signed plate is packaged so that it arrives in perfect condition. In the unlikely event that it does get damaged in transit, we will replace it free of charge as quickly as possible.

  • Any damaged or missing items must be reported to us within 48 hours by telephone or by email and the damaged item must be returned to us in the original packaging before the replacement plate has been despatched to you.

  • After receiving your signed plate, we cannot be held responsible for any subsequent damage caused to your plate for whatever reason.

  • Due to the nature of earthenware pottery, fine lines or cracks may appear in the glaze over time. This is perfectly normal and occurs in all pottery of this type. These lines are called crazing and do not detract in any way from the appearance of your plate. We cannot therefore be held responsible for this occurring.

  • We regularly update our picture gallery and may include your chosen design unless you have specifically told us not to when placing your order.
  • Right, that's the end of the legal bit!

We will always endeavour to make your party / signed plate extra special, so please call us if you have any special requirements and we will accommodate your request if at all possible. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
